Bolt Science software helps you get it right, from a quick torque check to a full joint analysis. When you need an analysis of the whole joint, there’s BOLTCALC, our premier program. It checks clamp force, bolt overload, fatigue, bearing pressure and thread stripping, allowing for tightening scatter and embedding. It gives you a design margin for every failure mode and a report ready for sign-off.
The TORQUE program is a subset of BOLTCALC. Choose the fastener size, material and lubrication, and it gives you the tightening torque, the clamp force that torque produces, or the torque you need for a given clamp force. It works in metric and inch units, with built-in databases of thread sizes, bolt materials and friction coefficients.
dBEDITOR allows BOLTCALC’s databases to be edited. Add your company’s fasteners, materials and friction values to data drawn from ISO, SAE and ASTM specifications.
